Cats at GVSU. They are allowed 2 cats per apartment. He has no intention of ever coming back. He tested for whatever highest levels of nuke are. He will either be a high ranking lifer, or use the military to pay for his master's in nuclear physics and be a rich civilian. That's what is dad did (although I don't believe he got a master's). Basically his life is set.... EXCEPT FOR ONE HUGE DILEMMA PLAGUING OUR FAMILY. I don't think I've shared the greatest drama encompassing our lives and sinking our family at the moment (including my marriage until tomorrow!). I'm pretty sure I've shared he has had the worst GF ever all senior year. Selfish, immature, treats him like shit, terrible welfare family and background, who makes up for it all by being hideous on top of her terrible personality. She is so dumb, I'm not making a joke when I say it's like spending time with a make a wish kid. She doesn't know shit like the word fork. What cruise control on a car means. What an appetizer is. This girl has no hope of a future (I forgot to mention she has zero friends anymore because she pissed them all off by being an awful human). This gigantic loser has now manipulated my stepson into getting married asap... like in months. He's her only ticket to a not shitty horrible life. The stepson has always been a selfish person who never wanted to get married and has treated every GF horribly until this one. It turns out the GF and her family have been trying to talk him into getting married, planning their future life, and having all these secret conversations behind our back. To be clear, if I was her parents I would be telling her she needs to get his baby in her belly asap. This is a girl he's tried to break up with once a month because she sucks so bad. He said he was ending it in June. We thought he was waiting to leave for the navy to do his dirty work. Turns out he's planning on getting married, and it "just makes sense" given all the extra benefits he'll get from the military if he does. This is exactly what Aud and his dad did. So we hope we have talked common sense into him. He agrees getting married anytime soon is a bad idea. Yet it's pretty clear the conversations are still happening. So we are on pins and needles over here. The dude is set for life... as long as he doesn't let her ruin it. And she has nothing else going on in life, no job, no school. Nothing but time to sit around and wait for him to buy her plane ticket to come see him. PS - I did pull him aside as a dad to explain that he needs to be extra vigilant as he's in the extreme danger zone for being baby trapped. Thank you for listening to me vent. This has been huge drama the past few weeks.
