I know a few good lawyers. But I’m not aware of anybody being successful with an individual suit so far. It’s too expensive to litigate with companies like 3M/Dupont. I tried to kickoff some activity when our son had all kinds of medical issues a couple years back. None of the lawyers that successfully litigated our property damage case would touch it. Nor would the lawyers that litigated the mass action in Rockford for health impacts. Had our son had his issues 5 years sooner, we’d have received a 7 figure settlement like several of our neighbors did. There are also very few illnesses definitively linked to PFAS currently. Makes it tough to sue, lacking a scientific basis for the suit. Is there not a class action you can join that’s still in process? Or is it too late?
