This online company, Mercor, hires people to do temporary contract project work training AI. The projects are typically like 4 hours to 8 weeks. My title would be AI Engineering Consultant with an emphasis on whatever the project is. So I'd be a Technical Executive AI Engineering Consultant. I've been applying for open projects for months, finally got accepted for one. And when you finally get a project, they continue to throw more your way. It's $70/Hr up to 40 hours a week (I get to choose how much I want to work, when, and it's remote). Most importantly, this plugs the hole in my resume for the last year. Can position myself as having been doing Technical Executive AI Engineering Consultant contract work since my last role. Fills the hole in my resume and makes me look on the frontier of the industry with my AI training/engineering work. The best part? It's insanely easy. You basically have to review AI output and provide feedback. For instance, as a technical executive, click on the objects you would call a computer. Or it has a question, then provides 4 AI answers and you select the one that most sounds like a technical executive. I accepted the project, and am currently going through the background check. Would be a huge relief it I finally really get this work. I was referred by my mom, who's been doing work for them for a couple of years. Everyone she as referred has gotten a bunch of projects through them. Fingers crossed!
